Brew Hui Podcast, Episode 2: Ben Middlemiss

It seems an age since Episode 1 of the Brew Hui Podcast – but I can assure you, the wait has been worthwhile!

My ‘guest’ for Episode 2 is a living, breathing part of New Zealand’s brewing heritage – none other than Stephen ‘Ben’ Middlemiss.  Brewing with Ben and his prodigal son Tim – at Ben’s East Auckland home, no less – was truly a Bucket List-level event; I only hope that my borderline-crap editing skills have done the event justice…

As usual, you’ll find the episode streaming below – and can grab the MP3 here.  You can also download the podcast on iTunes, and the link to the podcast RSS feed is right here.  I’ve also posted some photos from the brew day on the Brew Hui Facebook page. Whatever’s your poison.

Enjoy…

(Yes, it’s the same-old shithouse widget; and yes, I’m still working on it…)

To grab a ticket to the event on 2nd October, make sure you follow Ben on Facebook – he’ll keep you up to date with all the details. You may want to give 16 Tun a call and secure a ticket – or better still, pop in for a pint and grab one in person.

As usual, the intro- and outro- music is from a track called ‘Red Pepper‘ by the fabulous (and presently-defunct) Wellington band Harbour City Electric.  Head along to their Bandcamp site to grab their EP and full album – you can even name your price!

My sincere thanks to Ben and Tim Middlemiss, 16 Tun, and Harbour City Electric for their dulcet tones. And thanks to you, too, for all your positive feedback since Episode 1…you’re all very lovely people!
